Meet the artists

Wei Yi graduated first in his class from the Department of Dance at the Chinese Culture University in Taiwan. With over twenty years of dedication to the dance arts, his expertise and passion are unparalleled.

Shirley, a graduate of the Dance Choreography Programme at Nanjing University of the Arts in China, is committed to daily training and exploring the possibilities of the body, bringing a fresh and dynamic energy to her performances.

The Creative Journey

Shirley shares: "The creative process across the sea is similar to the turbulence of the waves and the endless exploration of the deep sea". Although both dancers come from professional dance backgrounds, the creative process still requires their utmost effort.

Shirley adds: "A work must leave a lifelong impression on the audience, that is the purpose of creating art. This collaboration represents a multifaceted adaptation between Wei Yi and myself. It also serves as a visible link between the two of us."
