Let's Hit the Dance Floor!

Let's have fun this SUNDAY with a burst of energy and rhythm at the electrifying Afro-Latin Dance Night.

There will be an exciting 2-2-2 sequence of Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba.

Salsa (from the Caribbean)

Salsa is characterised by dynamic and energetic movements, including intricate footwork, turns and partner work.
Dancers often perform quick steps, turns and complex patterns with fluidity and precision.
Salsa can be danced in a linear or circular fashion, with partners maintaining a close connection and exchanging leads and follows through subtle cues.

Bachata (from the Dominican Republic)

Bachata is known for its slower and more sensual style of dancing, with close embracing and intimate movements.
Dancers typically perform basic steps, turns and dips, accentuating the rhythm of the music with body isolations and hip movements.
The dance often conveys themes of romance, passion and longing through its expressive and emotional choreography.

Kizomba (from Angola)

Kizomba is characterised by smooth and fluid movements that emphasise a close connection between partners.
Dancers perform subtle hip movements known as "ginga" while maintaining a relaxed posture and gentle sway.
