Come celebrate with us as we honour one of the most fascinating creatures on the planet - the pangolin! As World Pangolin Day approaches, we're delighted to invite you to a special event in Kota Kinabalu to raise awareness and appreciation of these unique animals.
Pangolins are incredible mammals, often referred to as "scaly anteaters" due to their unique scales and diet. Unfortunately, they face many threats, including habitat loss and the illegal wildlife trade. But together we can make a difference!
Join us for a day of educational activities, interactive workshops and opportunities to learn how you can help protect pangolins. From fascinating facts to fun games, there's something for everyone at our World Pangolin Day celebration.

About Pangolin Aware
Pangolin Aware was established in October 2022. It's a non-governmental organisation based in Sabah, Malaysia, dedicated to preventing the extinction of pangolins. Its main aim is to raise awareness of the importance of pangolin conservation and the various threats to pangolins.

Activities
- Welcome speech by the Director of Sabah Wildlife Department.
- Presentation of souvenirs to the Director of Sabah State Library.
- Group photo
Short video on pangolin conservation by Pangolin Aware
- Presentation on wildlife conservation by a wildlife officer from the Sabah Wildlife Department.
- Interactive quiz.
- Presentation on wildlife rescue operations by a fire officer from the Sabah Fire Department.
- Activity 1: Pangolin themed drawing competition by Pangolin Aware for 6-10 year olds, focusing on creativity and pangolin conservation education.
- Activity 2: Pangolin Explorer Bingo by Danau Girang Field Centre. Activity for ages 7-12, focusing on teamwork and knowledge about pangolins.
- Activity 3: Upcycling Workshop with Eco-Artist. For all ages, focusing on creativity and sustainability through upcycling.
Interactive Exhibition (all day)
