Identifake is an interactive exhibition that aims to empower youth to recognise and counter misinformation and disinformation, and promote digital citizenship and online ethics.
This interactive programme is a collaboration between Arus Academy, Biji-Biji Initiative, The Fourth, Malaysia Information Literacy Education (MILE) and the US Embassy Kuala Lumpur.
Identifake has already left its mark in five other locations - Penang, Kelantan, Kedah, Kuala Lumpur and Sarawak - where it has engaged over 3,000 participants and visitors.
Visitors gain invaluable insights into:
- Techniques for identifying misinformation, disinformation and malinformation
- Effective fact-checking techniques
- The importance of information literacy in the digital age
The exhibition and activities will be held on the ground floor of the Tanjung Aru Library (Kota Kinabalu) from 18 to 27 April 2024, between 10am and 4pm.
From 27 April, the exhibition will move to the second floor of the library.
