Sulu Claim: Proprietary, Sovereignty and Security
Unraveling the Sabah and Sulu Connection - A Discussion on Three Explosive Issues
Sabah and Sulu are arguably twins. Sometimes what happens in one has a butterfly effect on the other. Ever since Malaysia was formed in 1963, the Sabah claim has been a thorn in the side of the two neighbours separated by the Sulu Sea.
Join us on 10 January at the Sabah Society Secretariat as we discuss the three explosive issues in which the twins are entangled.
Philip Golingai, from Penampang, is a Malaysian journalist who studied at Western Michigan University and writes for The Star (Malaysia's leading English-language newspaper). He writes a column called One Man's Meat, which appears in The Star on Mondays.
Note:
As we embrace the new year, the Sabah Society is introducing a RM10 holding fee for our upcoming talk reservations. This initiative aims to streamline seat reservations and enhance event planning.
The fee is fully refundable upon attendance and proof of payment.
In case you cannot make it, your contribution becomes a meaningful donation to our magic box supporting our endeavours.
