Borneo Rock Festival is proud to present an all-star line-up of the country's top 5 bands. This extraordinary event promises to take you through three generations of musical brilliance, from the iconic sounds of the 80s to the cutting-edge tunes of today.
Headlining the festival are country rock legends Wings and Search, whose names resonate across generations. These two powerhouses need no introduction as their timeless hits have left an indelible mark on the nation's musical landscape.
In an exciting first, Butterfingers will grace the shores of Sabah for the very first time. Prepare to be thrilled as they bring their unique sound to Borneo, adding a new dimension to the concert and making this a historic moment for music lovers in the region.
Joining the legends on stage will be two contemporary giants with huge fan bases across Malaysia - Hujan and ACAB. Known for their electrifying performances, these bands are sure to set the stage on fire.
The stage will also be set ablaze by the rising talents of our home-grown bands: Measmata, Silversun, Markaz69, AMEF, Dita Darcia and more.

Search are a rock kapak band formed in Johor Bahru, Malaysia in 1981. Their songs and music have remained strong and unique ever since. To date, they've released eleven studio albums, number of lives, compilation and collaborative albums (with Wings). With their numerous hits and rock anthems, they're considered by Malaysian rock fans to be the greatest rock band in Malaysia.

Wings
Wings is a Malaysian rock band formed in 1985 in Kuala Lumpur. Wings has produced several chart-topping hits such as Sejati (True) and Taman Rashidah Utama (Rashidah Utama Park). To date, the group has released eleven studio albums, almost all of which have gone platinum.
The band consists of five members namely Awie (vocals), Syam (lead guitar), Edrie (lead guitar), Eddie (bass guitar) and Black (drums).
Butterfingers
Butterfingers is a Malaysian rock band formed in 1993 and one of the most successful bands in the Malaysian underground and mainstream music industry to perform in English.
Their music is often categorised under the genre of Grunge. Over time, they have evolved with a more mature sound, progressing with multiple influences including alternative rock, post-grunge, classic rock, psychedelic rock, progressive rock and traditional/folk.
They have produced six studio albums, four of which are in English and the last two in Malay.

ACAB
The godfather of Malaysian Oi!/Street Punk music comes to Sabah for the third time... The group is committed to the skinhead movement. Accordingly, musically and lyrically, they are based on the part of the British punk rock bands of the second generation, which the music journalist Gary Bushell subsumed under the catchphrase "Oi!". There are also some influences from reggae and ska. (source)
Hujan
HUJAN is a popular and award-winning music band that has gained recognition both locally and internationally. The band was formed in 2006. HUJAN takes its name from the word "rain" and this element is reflected in their music, which ranges from light and gentle to heavy and intense, just like a storm. HUJAN have toured extensively around the world and are considered one of the most successful independent bands in Malaysia.

Datuk Francis Landong
Datuk Francis Landong started his career as a singer in 1979 and became famous for the song Nung Noilaan Ku Daa in the year of his involvement in the singing industry. He is still active in the field of singing after more than 40 years in the industry. He was awarded the Most Popular Dusun Artist Award by Huguan Siou KDCA 2015 and crowned the Dusun RTM, Sabah VFM Session 2009/2010 Song Chart Champion. He has more than 10 albums.

Measmata are a deathcore band who recently released their album "Megalomaniac". They offer their audience music of great intensity. They have a destructive stage presence.
Dita Darcia
Formed in 2012, Dita Darcia is an electrifying band with a unique blend of powerful melodies and raw intensity. Their creative style mixes soaring guitar riffs, thunderous drum beats and heartfelt lyrics. Come and experience their captivating and heavy sound... LIVE!
Silversun
Silversun were formed in Sandakan in 2001. They take us back to the raw, gritty days of grunge. Exploring themes of alienation, despair and hope, their songs reflect the struggles and triumphs of a generation. In August 2023 they shared the stage with headliners Sweetass and released their first EP 'The Light Years'. Come witness Silversun turning grunge into gold.
AMEF
A.Million.Evil.Faces, or AMEF, is a Melodic Metal band based in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.
Markaz69
Markaz69 are a two-tone and ska band formed around the year 2014. Their music combines a "danceable ska and rocksteady beat with the energy and attitude of punk". The band's main influences are The Specials, Cock Sparrer, Bad Manner, Bob Marley, Madness and many more.
